This is a handcrafted Native American style drone flute made from black walnut. The drone design pairs two chambers in a single instrument: one chamber holds a sustained drone note while the other plays the melody, producing full harmony from a single player. It is built for players who want a richer, layered sound than a single-chamber flute allows. Suitable for meditation, sound healing, recording, and performance. Tuned to 440 Hz standard concert pitch in the key of [key]. The drone chamber sounds a constant fundamental while the melody chamber plays over it, creating natural harmonic intervals and a continuous, resonant tone. Voice is warm and full with strong low-end presence. Both chambers are tuned to each other so the flute stays in balance across its range. A 432 Hz totem swap is available on request. Black walnut is a dense North American hardwood known for its deep chocolate-brown color and straight, flowing grain. The density gives the flute a warm, rounded tone with good sustain and a smooth mid-range. Grain and coloration vary from piece to piece, so each flute has its own figure and pattern. Sanded smooth and sealed to protect the wood and highlight the natural grain. Each flute is made by hand and individually tuned by ear and by meter before it leaves the shop. Bore, sound holes, and finger holes are cut and finished to produce clean note separation across both chambers. Interior surfaces are sealed to resist moisture from playing. Every instrument is play-tested before shipping.
